Below average blogger & mother

Hello! I'm thrilled you're here. I'm Taylor Shipley, and I've been happily married to my husband for six years. We have three amazing and crazy daughters aged 4, 3, and 2 (yes, we're aware of how it happens). I'm a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU Nurse and a Pediatric Rare Disease Research Nurse, and I truly adore my career and wouldn't trade it for anything. I enjoy a good book, a glass of wine, some peace and quiet (haha), and all the coffee the world has to offer.

I have the three most beautiful girls in the world, and I would do anything for them. Being called Mama is my most cherished title. However, I can't be the only one who feels like pulling my hair out by 7 am on some days. I can't be the only mother who locks herself in the bathroom just to brush her teeth. I can't be the only mother who wishes schools offered overnight stays for those of us who need a break from "doing bedtime" tonight. If I am, then I hope this gives you a good laugh, pray for my family, and move along.

There is not one thing in this world that I would rather be than a mother but sometimes it's easy to get lost in the trenches. I want to be a safe place for you to relate, share your struggles, know it's okay to some days just Merely Survive while trying desperatly to cherish these moments because we are never going to want to forget these seasons of motherhood (at least not all of them).

I want to be here for the good, bad, and the ugly. I want to share the moments of motherhood that keep us together, make us laugh until we cry and everything in between. You are welcome here and you're doing a great job, mama.
